I am looking into setting up funding or access to equipment for ex-forces who suffer with mental health issues who work in trade roles ie builders mechanics and other jobs.

But don’t know how to go about it and how to set it up could someone please help me.

The reason I want to do this is because when I was medically discharged I left the forces with no tools and needed them for my job. I spent a lot of my medical discharge payment on getting tools to be a HGV mechanical engineer. I did some research to see if there was help out there to buy tools for trade but didn’t really get any information or any financial aid from other charities.

So

if anyone has any information on how I can do this or would like to help

me in this venture I would massively appreciate it

many thanks Stephen Gould

Stephen Gould, have a look at these guys.  They are looking to work with UK groups supporting the vulnerable and unemployed now.

Also there should be Govt backed start up help schemes where you can network, gain free training, hot desk and have free access to wi-fi meeting rooms etc.  For me it was Buckinghamshire Business 1st but most areas have a similar named enterprise scheme that is govt funded mate.
