Rough Sleep

It’s been all over the newspapers, all over social media and even on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan, but yet, fellow veteran and SAS hero Bob Curry is still homeless and living in a B&B.

Unfortunately, Bob Curry is not a one-off case as many veterans throughout the UK are currently homeless and sleeping rough. We cannot pinpoint the fundamental cause of this ever-growing issue and we can sit here all day pointing our fingers at someone to blame for our veterans sleeping on the streets. We can confirm, however, that veterans are yet again taking matters into their own hands.

This Saturday, on the 3rd of February 2018, you will witness veterans and current serving military personnel gather across nine different locations in support of homeless veterans.

The “Rough Sleep“, a campaign led by the well known Facebook group called “Fill Your Boots UK” will be taking place in

  • Bournemouth
  • Colchester
  • Lincoln
  • Harrogate
  • Birmingham
  • Newcastle
  • Chester
  • Edinburgh
  • and Marlow.

Following the success of their first “Rough Sleep” event on the 28th of December which raised an incredible £5,000, “Fill Your Boots UK” have decided to take the event to a national scale.

All funds raised will be donated to Launchpad, a charity helping veterans recover from homelessness, poverty, unemployment, mental and physical illness and injury, welfare issues and family disruption.

Any kind donations will be appreciated by Fill Your Boots and Launchpad:
